Octy Engine Diagram...

Featured Replies

Thinking of changing to an atmospheric DV, fella who would be doing it for me wants an engine diagram to check the whereabouts of everything involved, anyone know where I could get one, barring a Haynes manual?

Workshop manuals are are not available for the Octavia but there is a Haynes manual for the MK4 Golf - this should have some pictures of the engine.

However, changing the DV is very very simple, if you remove the plastic engine cover you can see what needs to be done easily.

Failing that, there is a thread on here somewhere about routing hoses for boost gauges. Its got some good photos of the DV location. A good place to start is the before and after photos here: http://www.pimpmyskoda.co.uk/

Cheers for that DGW, that should do nicely!

Excuse my ignorance.... what does FPR (in red lettering on the pic) stand for?

FPR = Fuel pressure regulator.

There's a block diagram of something that looks remarkably like the VAG 1.8T engine here.

It's actually a diagram of a Diamond Star (Mitsubishi/Chrysler co-operative effort) engine, but you'd have to be a VAG techie to spot the differences. There's also a cutaway view of the VAG 1.8/20v turbo engine here

It should be a recirc valve not atmospheric shouldn't it??

Does anyone have a diagram of a con-rod? Preferably an exploded or cutaway view?

Far cough! :haha:

Ask Pikey Des, he has one :D
