Also many thanks and big up to lofty 79

Welcome Bobz, get some photos up and edit them in to your post asap. Join photobucket and upload them, the copy paste the image code.

Its cracking car that really, aside from its cosmetic issues that we are addressing, it has to be bar none the best diesel engine ive seen/heard in a long time, truly top class mechanically.

You will - as i said earlier - see massive fuel improvements 25mpg in the focus is a thing of the past make room for another 40mpg on top of that, granted 65 bhp less but hay, its not for speed.

Glad i could help man, im pleased with the outcome so far, once she gets her colour up, it wont be visible

Welcome to the SDI club. Slated for being slow but will turn up not very long after the TDIs. Great town car, trickles along in traffic with minimum input from the driver. Anticipation is the word. I have been driving an SDI estate since 2005 and have done over 80,000 miles in her at an average of over 59mpg. Oh, and she runs a treat on Tesco Sunflower oil on any mix from 50 to 90%.

Fabia's have their problems but the SDI engine removes a whole lot of them. Change the cambelt and oil on time and it will go on for ever.

Also I have to admit that just recently with the amount of limp mode issues we have been seeing cos of the vnt vanes sticking, we've all got sdi engines anyway, by time these ones have restarted you've caught up.

No reaching around the back of the engine with Mr muscle, no worry of smoke or police siren noises with a potential 250 quid bill.

Trouble free motoring, just leave 2 minutes early
