Front door speaker problem

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

I changed both the front door speaker on my 05 fabia Vrs as the driver side speaker now and again stopped working for seconds and then burst into life again. I thought that was end of problem .

Wrong it seems that now and again both new door speakers stop now and again whenever they like for a short time the rear speakers are not effected .

I have a clarion head unit and I have tried to replicate the problem by shaking the wires in rear of head unit with no joy.

Please help it's driving me mad.

Anybody ?

Seems like a wiring/connection issue to me. If not that it could possibly be a fault with the headunit.

Does it happen at a certain time, or is there anything you can do to provoke them turning off? Are you listening at very high volumes?

Do they stop in unison, or independently? Wondering if it's wiring to the door itself as it failed there on my Fabia and meant the speakers cut in/out.

Hi

Thanks for getting back to me what I did notice is that a low volume it had cut out and when I put volume up it kicked back in

Hi

Independently I think how did u go about checking wiring from body into door

I literally just poked mine where the door strap is to see if it cut in/out at all. If it does cut in/out when being poked, I'd be pretty sure that's where the issue lies.

My Polo (also doing the same as yours on the driver's door) changes when volume is turned up too.

When it stops raining will give it a go
