Revo stage 2 remap!

Featured Replies

Hi!

Already running stage 1 remap, stage 2 on its way!

Any known problems/issues with this? I believe it will put the cars BHP up from 197 (now on 242 with stage 1) to around 260?-does that sound right?!

Any advice greatly appreciated!!

Thank you

Get a new clutch first and obviously downpipe and intake assuming you have tsi. If tfsi I believe you nee hpfp too.

Cheers Jonno, I will see what the garage has to say-the car is only 28k up. It's a tfsi.

With the tsi, the extra torque made my standard clutch slip immediately and that's with a lower mileage car than yours. However, I do believe the tsi figures are somewhat higher.

With that level map you will slip immediately. We can DMF and SMF kits including a paddle clutch which are perfect for this car and power.

PM me for more info and prices.

My Tsi is still on o.e clutch running stage 2 and 81k

Incorrect. Ive run stage 2+ with no slip issues on the OE clutch for quite a few thousand miles!

Hmmm, interesting!

Some think I may need a clutch, some don't. As it is only something relatively simple and unlikely to be something that's going to leave me marooned somewhere I think I will hold fire on having a new one fitted, watch this space!!

Make sure you add me as a friend on here then so I can quote you when it does slip ;)

That was on my last Skoda. Did 20,000 + miles with no issue and to be honest it depends on the map also - you cant just assume it will happen with the map as some tuners leave the torque protection in place and some dont so they can advertise the bigger headline figures. ;-)

My clutch started to let go on Stage 1!

its pretty much a case of when it will go rather than if, at stage 2 you are above the max torque level for the OEM clutch, some (like me) will be lucky and have it last a while, others will have slip almost immediately!

Ran stage 2 on my tfsi from the car being new with only 5 miles on the clock and covered 20k with no probs then went stage 2+ also with no issues and it got drove hard and also towed a caravan in its last year of my ownership, Car still going strong with new owner on original clutch and dmf.
