Rapid or Fabia Estate?

Featured Replies

Just browsing AutoExpress and found this: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/skoda/rapid/60546/skoda-rapid-prices

The price list would suggest a 1.2 TSI (86) S model (no a/c) at 13700 would be very similarly priced to a Fabia Estate Elegance (86) at 13975. The A1 5 dr 1.2 TSI (86) starts at 14200.

For the sake of argument the VAT offer does not exist, I don't think the Rapid is that well priced - what do you think?

Might add, I have not seen the Rapid in the flesh, but have seen the Fabia estate and the A1 - not looking to buy any of them, but would be interested in the optimistic pricing of the Rapid.

I think I saw a Rapid the other day on the motorway but wasn't taking much notice TBH.

Where does the Rapid sit in the range - is going up against the Golf (and similar sized models). The cheapest Golf is c£16k.

I think it meant to be the second generation Toledo size. I just think it is a tad optimistic given the same platform as the A1 and closely related to the Fabia.
