hi can someone please tell me how to get back door panel off to get at the lock,.but the door will not open

I'm in the same boat, but I have stripped the door back. It's not particularly easy, but I'll explain best I can.

Speaker unclips out with some leverage, as does argue top of the arm rest handle thing. Also you need something to lever and unclip the bottom of the door. there's a screw where the speaker was, and one or two round the arm rest, window winder has a sleeve which should pop in the opposite direction to the handle when squeezed and pushed. Then starting at the bottom of the door, pull hard and to remove completely, open the window and pull the door card upwards.

The carrier is secured with 8 bolts (rivets on later models), and you'll need to pop the rubber circle out to remove window securing pins with the window down. The. Wind the window back up and tape in place before winding down again, and with some jiggery pokery it should come away from the rest of the door

hi, its a octavia and the rear windows are electric that goes up and down but the little door nob thingy wont move up now
