Neuspeed RSe07 lightweight alloy wheels 5x112

Featured Replies

I saw Rob's post about his RSe07s and got all green eyed, then spotted a set on ebay, thought about it for a few days, didn't put 2 and 2 together and then bought them. I need ET45, these are ET35 and 8.5J.

I am annoyed, mostly with myself.

4x Neuspeed RSe07 alloy wheels, direct fit onto 5x112 VAG cars with the correct centre bore to boot. These are 8.5 x 18" and ET35, in near perfect condition - on inspection there are a couple of marks on the inside edges of the rims where the tyres have been added and removed, but the wheel backs and faces are otherwise unmarked

I am prepared to take a small hit on them to get them sold so am asking £650. These are over a grand from the likes of Awesome GTI or you can try importing them yourself from Neuspeed (about US$1400)

Collection from Leicester city centre. They're boxed with the cloth covers over the rims, but I don't want to mess around finding a courier and arranging insurance, you can book your own courier if you want but I am ONLY available on the afternoon of Friday 5th October.

Have you trial fitted them, as they are 'gert-lush!' (been in bristol too long  )

Alternatively, can't you have the back's machined to get them to the correct ET?

No I haven't tried on yet. I think if they're machined down, they might be too wide to fit over bigger brakes or sit a bit close to the suspension arms - I know I'm probably being a bit too careful, but I would't know who to talk to about getting them machined. I would rather part with them for somebody who wants a wide, lower offset wheel and use the funds to get exactly what I need.

Yeah it just didn't twig when I was looking at them.

Would work well on an A4, TT or a car on air I think.

I'd trial fit one, people fit 10mm spacers to get zeniths sitting further out into the arches without any problems

It'll only take 15 mins of messing about.

Having gone to the effort of buying them, I think you might be pleasantly suprised if you give it a go.

The problem is that zeniths are 7.5 wide and et51

You get 3mm more clearance to the strut but they will stick out 29mm more.

I love wheels hence my anorak fitment habit :)

Ok, I'll get my coat !

I didn't mean to sound like a tool. Wheels are a nightmare to get right. I'm not a fan of having them poking out with the lips exposed with stretched tyres.

I'm getting some new ones soon and debating how wide to go. On a mk2 octy you are safe with 8.5 and ET 45. It's weird as you have a bit more at the back and could probably run the et35's with a 215 tyre but they will poke at the front :(

Not at all, I clearly wasn't thinking it through properly

so could you fit - 8x18 et50 with 225/35/18 Porsche lobster claws with 10mm 5x112 to 5x130 adapters on the Octy II?

No, because a 10mm Pcd adapter isn't possible. They start at 15mm which would bring you to a much nicer et35 anyway. Then just stick 215s on and you're set.

10mm is a pretty small adapter isnt it?

You get 5mm more clearance inside and 17mm more poke on the outside.

In theory that should be fine.

Back on topic and back to the top so I can get something more suitable.

Thanks

  • 3 months later...

3 months too late ! bit of a long shot as this post is old but if by some chance you still have these i'l take them off you - one of very few decent wheels that will fit over my ttrs brakes on my mk5 gti ... let me know if you still have them pls mate. thanks

Sorry Sam long gone, they weren't really a good fit for the Mk5 unless you were going very low and running 215/35s
