Value pressure washer snow foam compatible?

Featured Replies

I've looked on eBay for a good value pressure washer just for the next 6 months really until I get more into the hobby I guess!

I also do friends and families vehicles for a bit of extra cash now and then, and it would really help speed up the pre wash and soak process!

Would this be ok for snow foam?

It's got a reservoir for detergent (I'm guessing this is where the "snow foam" liquid goes?

My question other question is do I really need a tap on the reservoir to adjust the amount of soap that comes out of the pressure washer?

Looks ok, with free delivery.

Now if this one is ok for the job and I don't need to worry about how much or little soap I need to control on exit from the soap reservoir I'll be a very happy chappy!

Thanks,

Leon

Nope

You need a specific snow foam attachment, not the normal detergent feed

Google autobrite snow foam attachment

That attaches to the nozzle of most pressure washers and you then put the snow foam liquid in it.

Buy a nilfisk 110 and an autobrite snow foam lance...Total cost £100 ish

So alternatively it'll be just as easy to buy a used Karsher and an attribute.

But! does this mean the one I have looked at wont snow foam at all?

There's no reason why that pressure washer won't work. The snow foam attachment is just used instead of that last attachment you can see in the picture. Just make sure you order your snow foam lance with a karcher connector.

But if you want really good foaming you'll need one with a flow rate of 400 L/hr and up. Lesser ones will work, but not as well. And a snow foam lance is a must (everyone recommends the Autobrite one). Having said all that a lot of people say snow foam is not worth the money and doesn't do a deal, so might be wiser to spend the money you would have spent on a lance and foam on something else.

Oh and the Nilfisk C110 recommend is an excellent entry level machine, probably better than the Karachers at that price level.

EDIT: I should add that are plenty of people that really rate snow foaming too. But there are also lots of skeptics.
