Hey guys! Wanting to lower my faiba around crimbo time just want some info/pics!!!! im looking into the eibach springs?? i wanted a -45mm drop give me your views? i cant go any lower because i wont be able to get on my drive or through the little tunnel at the end of it!!!

A friend of mine put just eibach springs on his fabia and it was like a bouncy castle, truly awful

Eibach springs were spot on when i had them on my old furby

Ive gone weitec springs atm, more solid and tbh look abit better drop than the eibachs. I was in same boat as you. Looks are not important if you cant drive the car anywhere :')

Were you on standard shocks?

If you want that drop then the Eibach springs won't give you anywhere near that.

as said above you wont get that drop on springs..

i was thinking springs but for a bit more why not go for a cheap set of coilovers? i bought myself some JOM's coilovers last month and they are well worth the low price! not too bouncy nice and firm though and the handling is great.

something to think about thats all haha

Lowering is a pain in the Arse - you'll end up with a load of grief. Really not worth it EXCEPT if you only potter about town - street cruising

Yeh i paid £200 for my joms and £10 for the drop links! Job done!

Get coilovers. i had springs and koni fsd shocks and still wasnt 100% happy with the ride height after looking at peoples car on coilovers. Slam itttt

Would the JOM's enable you to keep the standard height but have stiffer suspension and therefore better handling? Do you need to get the geometry set up after fitting?

Erm i think the minimum drop is 40mm but ive never ran mine at full height ideally yes just to get the handling spot on and stop uneven tyre wear!

I ran Eibach springs for a while but the drop was hardly noticeable, changed to JOM's last year and haven't got a bad thing to say about them.
