Hello from new Felicia owner in north Norfolk

Featured Replies

Greetings.

Just acquired a white 1999 Felicia 1.3L manual (was there an auto) - very basic (so less to go wrong), but in good nick with only 53k on the clock.

Bought the car after doing some extensive digging and tried Peugeot 206 and VW Polo but when I saw this little car I thought: well, my student son has been driving around in one of these for several years and has had virtually no trouble with it, so why not?

My main drive is a 2000 Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 auto, but it's not well-suited to local pootling - economy, which is never great, deteriorates rapidly on short journeys, so I wanted something cheap to tax, insure and run and the Felicia seems to fit the bill.

Needs new tyres shortly and a service - engine is a little rattly, but no cam belt, thank goodness.

I have a techical question about the coolant temperature gauge but will ask that in the right forum.

I hope my Felicia and I will be together for a good while.

Cheers

P.
