Aten 8 Port KVM Switch Firmware Update Cable?

Just a shot in the dark but does anyone have an Aten 8 port KVM switch firmware update cable that I could borrow or buy?

We have an Aten CS-1758 switch here at work that could do with a firmware update but no cable.

Alternatively does anyone have a contact in the US that might help by taking delivery of a cable for us and then posting it on (I've found what I think is the right cable on ebay for about $4 but it's delivery within the US only...)

IIRC, all you need is an RJ11 DB9 modular wiring adapter

aha... thanks for that I'll go and have a closer look - I thought the one I'd seen was DB9 to phone (rj45?) but I haven't looked at the back of the switch myslef (our IT techie said she'd done that) and wasn't sure if any of the wires were swapped...

Just dug out the spec on the Aten website and your right - RJ11 - so I now just need to find the pin-outs... and have a look for an adapter...

Hi all, I'm looking to buy my first Skoda after years of bad experiences with Ford wet belts and ongoing reliability issues. I'm planning to buy used, and my main priority is finding a car that has been properly maintained throughout its life. Whilst refilling the washer fluid, I noticed hairline cracks running along the top of the right hand headlight casing. These run pretty much the full length of casing, and in places the crack goes right through so that the integrity of the unit is breached. Looking at the left hand headlight I found the same, although the cracks haven’t broken through yet. Needless to say I haven’t been involved in an accident at any point, nor am I in the habit of slamming the bonnet shut etc. Has anyone el

Hi there, my rear box has finally given up the ghost so I'm looking for a half decent replacement. I don't want to fork out for a genuine OEM one as the seem quite pricey. In the past I've bought exhaust parts from a manufacturer beginning with a K and found them to be really poor. A mate of my son works in their technical department and he says he wouldn't use them. So if anyone has any suggestions of makes and suppliers they've found to be good quality I'd love to know. Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone, I have a Factory fitted electric Tow bar. Last time I use, it was 5 years ago I believe. I tried to use it Today no chance not releasing. It has a green light always but whenever I pull it out light changes to red blinking and tow bar is not releasing. I used some wd-40 and rust cleaner but still result didn't' change. I also tried to pull out the tow bar with bare hand or hit the mechanism with a wood or hammer(kindly), still no chance. Anyone faced the same issue?

Hi all, I've had my mk4.5 Octavia vRS for almost 3 weeks and while I find it to be a great car overall, there's some things that are a bit annoying. Lane assist: I understand what it's trying to do but the implementation seems flawed so it's a good thing it's easy to switch off. I had forgotten to turn it off today though and while driving down a road which is wide enough for two cars but only if you stick to the edge of the road, the lane assist kept trying to push me closer to the centre.
