Disabling rear lights via VCDS when DRLs are on

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I'm trying to figure out how to disable the rear lights (running lights, license plate lights) when the light switch is set to position O (DRLs). Of course, brake light will light up when active.

I just received my VCDS HEX-USB+CAN cable from Ross-Tech this morning.

Hopefully some of you will know how to do this, it shouldn't be a biggie?

Thanks! :)

No fault code found.

This may be of some help to some. :)

Personally I'd leave them on (I have had mine turned on). As far as I am aware you can't enable / disable this feature with VCDS (a lot of people would like this). It can only be done with the dealer VAS tool. I am of course talking about a 2012 model but I presume yours is the same (only a tiny bit older)

On the older models it could be done but I don't think it can on ours.
