3-in-1 Laser Printer/Scanner/Fax

Featured Replies

Hi!

I need to reduce my desk footprint and am thinking about buying one of these. I have tended to always buy HP kit and I've never had any problems. Can anyone recommend a good quality product?

I am currently using a 10 year old HP Laserjet 4L and it is still excellent quality. I may even consider a colour printer if the price is right.

All views welcome.

Would concur that for laser printers HP are a good option - though the 4L is an exceptional workhorse (mine's also still going after...think it's about 11 or 12 years), and some of the faster cheaper printers they make can be prone to paper jams and that.

The HP 3030 is pretty good - I know a couple of people with it, and they've been pleased, and at around

I agree, we supply 3030's to NHS sites that request them and they are very compatible

Thanks, guys.

Another one I am looking at is a HP OfficeJet 9120 which is a 3-in-1 including colour printer, but inkjet rather than laser. I havn't much experience of inkjets - How will the quality compare to my 10 year old HP 4L?

Cheers

We use Samsung SF5100 faxes thruought our company and havent had a single problem in over a year (ever)

do you need a flatbed scanner or just a sheet scanner?

For black and white printing the laser will be better than the inkjet in terms of speed a quality.

That's not to say inkjets are bad quality though - if you want colour then it's a good option.

Check out the price of HP inkjet cartridges before you buy though, you might scare yourself. :)
