I'd avoid the BB myself as its a dying platform. As for the price... Put plainly the only way tablets sell is by being cheap or by being an iPad.

Nexus 7 every time. Bought one for my parents so they can use the Internet without always asking me and both picked it up quite quickly. Took it over my cousins to see what their girl thought of it. She's almost 3 and has been playing with her mother's iPad for about 3 months. Gave her the Nexus, showed her where the games were and left her to it. By the end of the night she said to her mother "Martyn's 'puter is better than your 'puter mammy". That made my night.

Its amazing the number of ipads are given to toddlers to keep quiet lol
