sd card

Featured Replies

Hi new greenline owner previously superb elegance 2.4 owner. First problem is SD card not highlighted when inserted and cannot therefore see music folders. The CD's were simply copied from my CD drives onto the SD card. Question therefore is how do i get the CD's into the columbus system so i can see and select?

Thanks

Are the files you copied MP3's?

If not, they won't play.

It sounds like you have just copied the files from CD to SD with no conversion to MP3 first.

Did you format the card as FAT32 before copying files? That can effect it. Try using some software to import the CD to your computer as MP3's first. iTunes works if you set it to use the MP3 format rather than the native AAC.

Is the card less than 32Gb? That's the limit for the Columbus.

What version of firmware is on the Columbus? Early versions won't read SDHC cards only SD. Current versions of hardware won't read SDXC cards.

There are quite a few threads on this forum if you search for them where people have asked near identical questions.

But I hope my response has summarised those threads for you...

Welcome to Briskoda by the way.
