Castrol edge 5w-40 fully synthetic

Featured Replies

Just thought I'd let you know I've seen and bought castrol edge 5w-40 for only £6.99 at homebargains 1 litre just thought it was cheap ish and handy for topping up :)

Having not bought the litre option for some time I've lost touch with typical prices. I stopped buying it because it seemed so disproportionally priced by comparison to 4 or 5 litres. Changing every 10k I just buy 5L, the car takes around 3 to 3.5L and the rest is used for topping up as and when ;)

£6.99 / litre is £35.00 for 5 litres which is actually pretty competitive, even against the 5 litre containers on Opie Oils.

It is if you pay around that per 5L, running an old Felly I don't & thus far I've never needed to add anything between changes ;)

Before my vRS (and its requirements for longlife, low ash, VW 507.00 blah blah) I had a non-turbo Peugeot 306D.

It wasn't fussy and would happily entertain any oil as long as it was black and runny :giggle:

Hi, to be fair I do understand that the vRS's etc require a certain spec of oil. Running an older galopy I've probably got license to compromise a bit :giggle:;)

That is cheap asa litre of 505.01 is normally about £14: I will have to check it out :)
