Original Phone holder - after install possible?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I would like to install the original phone mount system that was an option when ordering the car. Just to have the phone powered and use the car antenna. I know that I can use the bluetooth option and that I can plug the phone trough the MDI port. But I want to have the phone visible from my position and the original cradle looks perfect, to not have all the dashboard full of wires.

I've been looking but I don't find any reference, guide... nothing.

I would greatly appreciate if someone could give some hints on where to order it or how to install it.

Thank you in advance!!

I've never seen an original phone mount system so can't comment on what it should be or look like!

I had a THB Bury System installed in my car (by my company) and this uses a switchable cradle system, meaning that you can interchange cradles depending upon which phone you have rather than replacing the whole kit.

This cradle also serves to charge the phone and keeps it in sight (great for me as I use a phone based sat nav system).

Haven't got any pictures right not but will post some up later on.

i have a brodit holder, with an iphone 4s mount, which "passes through" the connector.

looks good and does exactly what you want it too!

Hello!

Thanks for your replies. It would be great if you post some pics to compare differences between all the models.

This is how it looks the original one from skoda:

My setup as detailed above uses a DashMount bracket:

The Bury cradle assembly then fits onto it:

Hardwired into the car, uses a tax disc antenna, mutes/pauses the radio etc.
