Insurance is going to be a killer if you go changing many things then. Unfortunately. I bet it's not cheap anyway!

not stupidly expensive but its not cheap £2000 a year

I hate to think what it's going to cost with some mods on the car.

Just leave it as it is and get some no claims built up.

I'd have probably killed myself if I had a car with 100bhp at that age (I was 18 when I past). As it happends I only had about 50 and still managed to write that off!

Your best off saving your pennies... I bought a vrs when I was nearly 20, now I'm 21 and my insurance is only £650 with Coilovers, remap and brakes declared!
