pcv valve number

Featured Replies

Can somebody get me the part number for this and state if you use oil please

Was wondering if different pcv valves have been used from later to newer engines

Sorry, not got the answer you wanted, but i sense a new theory here re oil usage....!?!

Has your PCV failed or are you just throwing some ideas/thoughts about?

Hopefully someone will be along soon with the info you need.

Well im getting bad oil usage, one of the main problems is blue smoke when tuning into a juction and accelerating a valve clicks and blue smoke appears

And at the minute blaming pcv valve, think its sticking.

Ive heard they rattle slightly when shaken and mine isnt,

Also size plays a big part just trying to find ideas

It's just a simple one-way valve, have you tried blowing through it both directions? (simple but may give some answers!)

Andy.

Plus, doubt that you would hear the PCV when driving, most likely the click is the supercharger engaging if accelerating........?

Yea i know the clicking is most likely the supercharger clutch engaging/disconnecting but havent heard any1 getting this. posted a few times about. The clicking judders the car loses any speed then blue smoke, then away as normal, it doesnt just click once its 5/6 times.

Its pulling a vacuum i can hear it tried blowing all seems well just wondered if different models have different pcv valves

Well pcv also keeps a certain pressure in crankcase (usualy 1-3PSI) think its sticking so being left open/pcv valve too big, causing a vacuum on crankcase and sucking oil up under heavy boost
