I think its a pre-heater kit for getting your car warm in advance on cold mornings. Assume means you can activate it from inside the house, when the car is out in the garage/road, and it will be warm when you get in?

It's just the remote kit - it doesn't include the webasto heater itself. A webasto heater burns fuel to produce heat.

You can get the park heater (and this remote unit) fitted from the factory, but Skoda UK won't let us have it. It's often specced in the Northern European countries.
