swapping my mk1 vrs for a vrs estate

Featured Replies

So i'm thinking of swapping or selling my vrs for a vrs estate and was wondering how much space i would benefit from in the boot , also would it be any easier to pack and unpack ?

The boot is massive, also the estate doesn't have the strengthening bars that the hatch does so it's a 30 second job to put the seats down and stick something like a freezer in there. You do still have a bit of a lip down to the boot floor, the only estates with a raised boot floor are the 4x4s

It is a massive boot. I use mine for camping and get stacks in there.

Thanks for the offer but it would have to be a vrs as if it wasnt for a baby on the way i would keep mine cheers anyway

its got a vrs front bumper and then has more extra's than a vrs and is better lol

What extras clive ?

Better handling, more suspension options if you want to upgrade whilst avoiding coilovers, no poxy white carpet, only downside is the little brother engine... but that can always be brought up to spec...

Colour ????

Silver

Springs won't go on the Estate. Especially a 4X4 Estate.

BUT there is precious little that WILL fit on the vRS Estate even more so, which is why coilovers are a far more common option on vRS Estates.

I'm looking for red or black tbh but what is the year and mileage please , as for coilovers unless there decent i wudnt wont them as had some on mine and took them off as the ride was terrible so bought some decent springs and its way better and cheaper then spending £500 on a decent set of coilovers , as for the rest of the bits they shud fit fine as its only things like wheels , stereo , engine cover and possibly the interior but i will see what is avalible round my area first

Put some pics up clive

I'm wanting a black or red one if i'm honest but thanks for the offer also i would need to get rid of mine first , strange thing is i have seen loads of silver ones for sale but next to none black or red

cos silver is a more common colour on these cars, reds nice but black is my favourite.

i'm the same i have a red one at the moment and love it but would like a black one.

would only swap if you need to fit lots of tall goods like a dishwasher, to be honest the hatchback boot is epic, and due to being a hatchback can still fit a load in

i need room for all my valeting stuff a wife 2 kids a baby when it arrives and a pushchair lol

i need room for all my valeting stuff a wife 2 kids a baby when it arrives and a pushchair lol

And.............

I have 4 kids, well one is 18 and the other 23 so they tend not to be seen dead with parents these days...lol

My 4 year old and 8 year old fit in hatchback(well not in the boot as such lol, no wait that's an idea) and the boot holds pushchair, changing bag, and family shopping no problems....

And I keep my valeting stuff in boot too.

My valet stuff takes half the boot up so only have half left and that with my hoover and wet vac out hence wanting an estate
