Thinking of joining the clan........

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am a member on plenty of other VAG forums and own a couple of other VW's bit am very likely to be buying a Fabia I VRS TDi this week.......

A few questions;

- what is the build quality like compared to the polo & ibiza?

- are there any issues I need to be looking out for, i.e. rear axle bushes on the golf etc?

- what mileages are acceptable?

- how much can I expect to pay for a 2007 VRS Ltd ed?

Hope to hear from a few of you soon!

Welcome to Brski I am sure you will like it here its a fantastic set up. I had a 2006 Mk1 Fabia VRS really miss it fantastic car console bushes are a part to change every few years worth checking, cupra ones are a common upgrade and last longer however there was a revised type used by skoda. Doors can let water in like the leons etc via the ancillary carrier seal not being up to it quick DIY mod to sort plenty about it on here if needed.

Overall a great wee car remap stage 1 170bhp some do more some less mine was 173.3bhp. 60+mpg if you want or need it, no DPF to go wrong fun to drive.

Best place to ask these questions to attract more responses from the best people would be the Mk1 Fabia section of forum.

Hi J & welcome to the forum. Marginally better than the Polo & better than the Ibiza imho. (and my local independant car sales, who tell me they'll buy a Skoda every time over a VW or Seat.)

I believe you'll be upwards of £6K?

Milage? You know they go on forever!

Hi and welcome aboard.

I am on my 2nd Skoda Fabia and i have never had a problem with the quality of the car and before that i had a VW Polo which i had a few issues with, so in my case Skoda are better put together.

Hello J and welcome along :thumbup:
