Got home from my holiday to find my ITG maxogen had arrived. Total bargain I should say, only thing is my silicone hose didn't have a breather and the 100mm air intake pipe wasn't long enough. So got myself to B&Q (a hardware store for you non British briskodians) and got some flexi ducting. Only thing is as I have gone off the original pipe work it pushed to the wheel arch too much and the pipe was getting sucked towards the filter almost closing the feed (meh!!) tomorrow's tinkerings shall come with pictures once I get a set up I'm happy with and shall show you all. Also me and my mate just might modify the small silicone attachment to add the breather pipe onto it tomorrow. Total cost so far which was for the filter (used once and removed) some hoses and some clips and £8 for the flexi ducting

I use ramair much cheaper and also rated to 300bhp so plenty of space lol.

Do people get a throaty noise from itg? Get a gd one from the ramair

i get a bigger fart noise from the exhaust when using the itg. i personally cant hear much of an engine note change but defo when changing gear at 5k i get a nice toot oot!

Alex at AKS Tuning http://www.akstuning.co.uk/# did all the work for me, using parts from the polo Gti. He did a top job and it looks as if the car came like it standard.

I've had it done for awhile, will post some pics when I get some decent pictures.
