Featured Replies

I give up so thinking to flog it all :(

I was looking forward to it, but costs and more so my over the top need to panic and worry has fudged it

Add that to my undesiveness or however its spelt and thats a idea down the toilet

I got this awesome red rocker cover / inlet and a black throttle body

Powder coated red rocker and inlet and i cant remember if it coated or sprayed throttle bod

A guy from the blasting place that was going to clean it up has freaked me out about grit left in it

And even tho ive had some cleaning tips to pretty much sort it....... Well those who know me will know why i wont put it on

:D i worry about everything

So once again i give up after wasting money i dont have i cant be fooked

Soooo

How much is it worth ?

I paid iirc

£40 for cover from clive

Then i gave steve £90 for the inlet and throttle body and to do the 2 red parts in awesome red :)

I still love the look of it but i cant be bothered and all my toys r out the pram :(

How much could i get back you reken guys

Im out of pocket £130

Was this the rite prices ?

:(

  • i havent got a clue what you are waffling on about dude, all i know is you are harder work than the average lady....

  • Do it yourself it feels good If it goes wrong do what I do and smash it with a hammer, that also feels good so its win win lol

  • I know exactly how you feel. But at least you don't hate yours like I have grown to hate mine. There's only so many things that can go wrong on mine now though. Somehow I still manage to love it, desp

if you are worried about swarf/grit inside the intake, blow it through with an airline then flush it with water, making sure you rotate it and get it at every angle, should be fine...

Give them to Pete or Graeme at the Waterloo Tunnel meet and one of them should be able to clean them for you, really its not a big job! And fitting won't take that long either. Shame to sell them so soon

Rubbish. Dry it out in an oven (60 deg celcius is plenty) for an hour, and hit it hard with an airline. No issues at all. Wash it out with a cleaning solvent thoroughly, hit it hard with an airline again, dry it out again, hit it with the airline again.

Panic over.

You worry too much. I remember the days when decoking engines was done by pouring Vim into the inlet. Then they changed the formula for Vim and it was never the same again.

As per the texts, get it cleaned and take it the garage and use the airline to blow it out.

YOU WORRY TO MUCH!!

It will clean easy buddy stop worrying nothing a bit of fuel and air can't sort will chat at tunnel meet if your coming . Meet at mine to drive down if you want

who are pete and graeme Jamie? what do they do engine wise out of interest?

Just a couple of local members, I think they'd be a bit more confident about cleaning the stuff than Lloyd though!

Cheers mr clive Im trying to see what can sort for that tunnel meet :)

Trying to build fuel costs :(

Gee has said i can go see him if i wana make more of a day of my fuel lol

Ive also been told charges end at 6pm too :)

Im just very crap and very useless as most know

Although somehow lots of awesome briskies have befriended me :)

Prob out of pitty for my octy lmao :D

fuel cost = less than a tank, so say 60.

just clean the part yourself and stop being a girl...

congestion def ends at 6pm, so shouldnt be an issue, dont try and drive down the m4 at 4-6 anyway as its a nightmare getting into london that way

You think ?? Was the other night not good enough for you Si ;-)

Not your best effort tbh ;)

So not sell it then :D

It's because your like a little hyper 3 year old Thats had to many blue smarties and you keep us entertained :)

lol, so you just volunteer others to do it for lloyd!

I'd do it but I'm not going to the Waterloo meet - and it's probably the only time Lloyds going to come over this way

that might explain the poor spelling and large number of faces in each post

am guessing that the guys you mention wont have water/cleaning agent/airlines/compressors on them at the meet tho

Pete is me and Graham is Gee( but don't call him Graham ! ) thanks for volunteering us chicken eyebrow. And no I'm not bringing my compressor to the tunnel meet lol.

I know who you are pete, i still have that carbon wrap you asked me to order....

Just didnt realise it was you and gee he meant in the context of this message,

I did think it was nice of him to offer your services lol, why cant you bring the compressor, you could run it off that generator you have to bring too, the one that powers the burger van you are towing (if thats cool?)

I meant one of them might be able to take it home with them Luca then pop it in the post when its done.

Gee has plenty of cleaning stuff (not sure about Pete though!). Pete I only volunteered you as you know Lloyd. I would do it myself but unfortunately can't make that meet.

Clive has said he'll do it anyways.

jamie, don't worry am just pulling your leg, as i have time on my hands today (as you can tell from my postcount) as the oven i am waiting to fit, still hasn't turned up!

Frankly lloyd can and should do it, its all part of the learning process!

Wow, Gee finally has a real name.

I thought it was Ming in disguise.
