Can anybody tell me if there is a really big difference in the performance and fuel economy of both of these engines in the Mk2 body ? I have a 1.9tdi in the Mk1 body and love it, but just what is the 1.4tdi like in the bigger MK2 bodywork.

Sorry, i do not know the answer.

But the body is just almost the same size is it not and the kerb weight is quite a bit lighter on the mk 2 i thought.

Is it not,

1.2 TDi 75ps, 1.6 TDi 75ps, 1.6 TDi 90ps, or 1.6 TDi 105 ps. Is there a 1.4 TDi ??

Yep, there is one for sale, its a 1.4TDI 80 (I guess that is the BHP), and its a Greenline.
