I've been offered some MG ZT alloys and understand they are 5x100 with only a very slight differenece in centre bore.

The tyres are 225 45 18. Has anybody fitted MG alloys to an Octy 1? Are these tyres an ok size?

Tyres are a little too big, should be 225/40 R18 on the Mk1 Octavia.

56.1mm centre bore is less then VAG (57.1) so you'd need the wheels machining to fit. 50mm offset though, so there's scope for some slim adaptors?

I'm really now thinking that its way too much hassle. Was hoping for a slightly different look to the norm but I'll just save for some Audi or VW replacements. Trouble is, they'll be much more expensive for equivalent size.
