Spare wheel

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me what size/spec the spare wheel and tyre for a 2009 VRS diesel should be? I've just discovered mine doesn't fit! The perils of buying the car seconds hand I guess, the PDC is is too small for me car. Luckily I found this out when I went to use it temporarily while swapping wheels around in my drive rather than on the side of the motorway in the rain with a puncture.

The spare wheel should be 16" x 6.5J, ET50, 5 x 112 PCD, tyre should be 205/55R16 91V. Someone is selling one in the for sale section that is the exact size you need.

I speced mine as an option from factory but never checked it or had call to use in anger. I replaced it with a new Neptune and put a tyre on it fits well but the factory one is under my bed still :D Must give it a go some day.

I note on Watchdog this week a lot of people compaining about how the repair kit is no good and does not work and no spare wheel and so all the breakdown people is tow you away , not much use when your trying to get to the airport !

then I read you cannot spec a greenline with a spare wheel so when car arrives I check it still has wheel well , walk into parts dept and buy spare wheel and tool separate , I just think no spare wheel will bite you in the backside when you least expect it

worse is the fact that many people are buying cars and dont know they have no spare
