Why can't people be more careful when opening their car doors???

I am so careful where I usually park but today some £&@! has put a chip on my near side front door (on the side strip). Looks even more obvious on a white car.

Annoying!!!

I have a nice big dent on my drivers rear door, would love to know when it happened as am really careful where i park car,

I actually think it happened at work in carpark at work but carnt prove it

Paintless dent removal guys are very good however, if they've chipped it :( I know a good smart repairer in Skipton but it's a bit far for you Khurram77, sorry.

Thanks alkip. There is a body repairs shop near me and I might ask for a quote. I may just have to order a new side strip. Really annoying.

Prob one of the drawbacks of white. My last car was black and had an array of car parking dents which were quite hard to see.

I just had some scuffs which I feel sure were done by people walking to close and catching the car with their shopping bags and some serious stone chips done by said smart repairer, he was at it for 3+ ours, absolutely excellent job and he charged me £105.

Anybody used this before from crapfords?

Just look up smart repairers in your area, best to go to one that someone recommends though :yes:

I've not used the Halfords stuff. Good luck getting things sorted.

Drives me insane. I had an old git open his car door on one of my Elise's in a carpark, saw him do it, he denied he'd done it and drove off!

The wife did mine in the feckin drive.

Don't buy that from Halfords, go to the dealer at get a genuine one. Just as good (if not better) and a guaranteed colour match as, in my experience, the Halfords ones (and other companies) are not always a proper match and will make it a lot worse to deal with...

Thanks for that. Will buy the genuine one and try it out. I fear it's the first of many though. Now it doesn't seem such a good idea going for the white one :(
