I've just taken my outer CV joint apart. The joint's two inner parts, the splined hub and the cage are spherical and so can be assembled into the CV joint in two directions.

Has anyone got a manual showing which way around they go together?

I was in a hurry and the parts were invisible under filthy black grease, so I didn't note which way around they were before dismantling it.
