Hi I would like to know if anyone's knows how to get the trim out which surrounds the heat controls and the CD player .. You no that big black rectangular shape aha

The cover on the heater controls simply pulls off.

Once that's off, you will see that the panels to the sides of the CD player are screwed in.

There are also screws at the top, which to get to you'll need to remove the blank buttons on the top of the dash.

HI. Just joined and trying to sort out an annoying squeak on my son's recently acquired 2006 Fabia.

It seems to be coming from where the right hand edge of the heater control panel meets the side of the dashboard. If I push on the extreme right of the panel that houses the heater knobs and air-con button the noise stops.

 

Do I need to remove the heater / fan / vent knobs to get the panel out ?

 

Does anyone have a photo of how to remove safely,,,,,,,I don't want to break his car.

Thanks hockeylad72, just what I needed.

 

From what I see, I don't need to take all the stereo out and can just undo the two screws underneath and then removed the cover.

 

I'll have a go tomorrow.
