So, with a black CTS and VCDS showing some coolant temp sensor open/short errors I got round to thinking it might be an idea to change it. Skoda parts want Euro(to much) ( 45 ) tame motor factor asks half that but wants to know is it the circular one or the D shaped one. How can I tell which type ? ( short of taking the thing out and looking at it ).

Change it with a genuine green VAG CTS. TPS will be slighlty cheaper than Skoda. Don't buy a cheap CTS as they rarely work properly. Buy cheap buy twice is definitely the case with the CTS.

Quite a few parts where original is best such as the cts, maf, brake light switch etc
