Today I took delivery of my Octavia vRS Blackline DSG in Race Blue - and I also registered as a newbie on this site. I'll post some pictures soon and look forward to actively taking part in the discussions.

Can I just take a moment to say a big big thank you to all who have posted on here with advice and comments for others - including me . I don't think I've seen another forum as friendly and helpful as this one.

I've already got my list of things to do:

• Microphone ordered from Poland for the Amundsen+, awaiting delivery
  

• Numerous VCDS settings noted, most importantly the Bluetooth enabling
  

• Feelers already put out for someone local to me from the VCDS Owners List on here to see if he will offer his kind services to change my VCDS settings (I'm open to other VCDS Owners offers just in case he can't do it )
  

• Checking up on local suppliers of Chemical Guys Wheel Guard for the black alloys
  

• Investigating options for the rubbish bin that will fit in the centre console
  

I couldn't have put the above list together so easily without all the great posts on here, so once again I thank you !!

Thanks to Anddenton for offering and operating his VCDS on my car yesterday, my HTC phone hooks up perfectly with the Amundsen+ now, just waiting for the microphone delivery to be able to make calls!

Why oh why oh why did Skoda miss this off their tick list for offering Bluetooth as standard on the Amundsen+, it's already built into the unit, it would have been so easy for them to untick one box on the VCDS and to fit a standard mic cable
