galaxy vr6

Featured Replies

Would a galaxy vr6 6speed box fit the vrs 1.8t????

Am guessing the input shaft will work as we use vr6 clutchs on smf conversions, suppose it just depends on belhousing bolt postions and if there same or if that bits swopable or not

Recon it would fit along with the gearchange stuff and the drive shafts if not cupra ones. Shame the ratios will be way out due to the engine characteristics

Dam forgot about the ratios. Looks like its back to the 5speed diesel plan.

5 speed diesel ?? Unless your running big power diesel boxes are a no no

Petrol 6 speed with 6th from a diesel is best IMO

What power you running and what driving do you do ??

think its a td04/05 turbo he is going to fit clive

Td04 300bhp ?? Not enough IMO for a diesel box

Stick with the 5 speed or 6 speed petrol with diesel 6th for mpg munching

I think the v6 bell housing bolts are different due to the angle of the block. The 225BAM or the tdi boxes should fit though but as clive said the tdi needs big power (1.9 or 2.0 kit and BT). I would be interested if a diesel 6th could be fitted to the o2m petrol 6spd box though as mine sits at 3k rpm at true 70. Would love to drop that by 1k rpm :D

Plus how much? Clive?

Will pm you and yes it can be done :-)

85mph in 6th diesel is 1500 rpm :-)

Awesome! Where do I sign away my kidneys? :D
