hi all new on here so bear with me a bit. the threads in my gearbox mount (top) have stripped and i'm guessing im going to helicoil some new threads in, but have no idea how deep an insert i should use. also should i use special bolt if so where would i get such a bolt?

anybody? really want to get my car back on the road. and cant afford a mechanic at the moment. 1st child due immanently so work has to be done myself.

I'm not sure on the length of the heli coil however do any of the bolts grip and tighten up ? I had the same issue on my old tdi after I'd changed the clutch one of mine tightened but the other didn't so I filled the hole with threadlock put the bolt back in and let it set it worked I did 8 thousand miles on it with no issue
