Side light and full beam bulbs

Featured Replies

Hey there my octy vrs came with the factory zenons and im wantin to change my standard sidelight bulbs and full beam bulbs to match the coulour of the zenons. Any 1 recomend which bulbs? Also the rear number plate bulbs. Ive already changed all the orange indicator bulbs to silver 1s. Cheers

i would get 6000k color temp which is like ice white, but changing the bulbs on xenon models means you have to remove both headlight units and have trox bits in order to change the bulbs

Yeah ive took them out before dude. I got cheap white sidelights on amazon but they dont look right thats why i want to change them. Cheers

you'll need to get led sidelights tbh. Have a look at mylitco on ebay as they do ones with resistors built in

As for the main beam, there are'nt any halogens which are white white. If they are they loose output by being coated blue.

Have a look at Philips blue vision, osram nightbreakers, Philips xtreme vision

Is it worth fittin 1 of those cheap hid full beam kits of ebay etc.. I no they dont pass mot but i could take it out for that. Cheers

but for h1 hids for fullbeam i would use 4500k~6000k dont see why they wouldent pass a mot as they arrent tested in the beam pattern test i think

talking about the ds2 mainbeam

thats what i have bulbs are £12 a pair compared to like £45 each from skoda parts

hid kits are legal it's if the car isn't fitted with auto headlight adjustment motors or headlight washers, but for mots "if" fitted they must work
