I've read that using an egr delete kit is benificial for bhp performance etc.

What are the Benifits and does it cause harm and bring engine check light on??

No performance benefit as when at WOT the EGR is closed.

I do know thanks.. I used the search button. I just know how car forums work in general after being on a few and can well understand people becoming tired of repeating the same information every single day. Just saying, if you had used the search button, all the information is there for you to see.

To answer this properly to my best knowledge. The egr recirculates gas from the exhaust. Removing this stops any soot/carbon getting back into the engine causing all the nice black greasy deposits that clog the pipes.

So in short doesnt increase bhp just stops it from decreasing as much over time.

It's worth it to keep the internals cleaner than they would be with a egr fitted.

There is a group buy for them i think £32 is the price for them, which is cheap. i'd jump to get one if you can. i am

Can I please point out that the search function here is - to put it kindly - not good. I nowadays always use Google for a search putting site:briskoda.net after the search terms.
