Just having to give my car another Mr Muscle treatment as the turbo has started to get stiff in its operation again. It is still just moving (only had about one limp home), but it feels like it is lacking in acceleration and on a gentle 60-65mph drive to Stansted and back in the early hours of the morning it only managed 56mpg (based on fuel receipt).

Given I only treated it a few months ago, I think there must be something else wrong, but I don't know what! Have swapped the n75 valve for a new one, have bypassed most of the other pipework (incase something was leaking). Maybe I need to make my driving style more aggressive. Sadly the best hills for that are when the engine is still cold :-(

I had another go at mine too,(didnt need it) But i detached the down pipe from the turbo and went in direct using the spray nozzle and straw from a wd40 can to get muscle between the fins...... I was well happy with the colour i saw coming out, tons of black

I'll put mine back together tomorrow morning, but probably won't drive it till Monday morning, and it will be dark then so unless anyone is following me out of Weymouth I won't get to see the efforts of my handy work, but with any luck I might get to feel.

they are notorious for coking the turbo, its quite ridiculous. Did yet another today, and a4 1.9tdi

I have noticed my fabia vrs is down on mpg, like 10mpg down, Ive fitted a new maf and thats not helped much, I only crise to work n back in it, nothing too hard but I do notice if i let it warm up then rev the nuts off it accel on to the Mway it is good again for a bit and the mpg is higher again but I loose more revving it lol

could this be an option to try?

it will poss help, but these engines as you know respond well to regular exercise.

Yea got that. Might giv it a go at some point not easy tryimg to sort the black octy. Keep thefabia good and look after swmbo hyundai too lol plus work.
