Hello All and in particular Stormchaser,

Thanks for all the comments. Having just joined Briskoda i am trawling through various threads trying to answer some questions.

First of all i would like to thank Stormchaser, as he is a very good customer to us and has said some kind things on here over the years.

In regards to the PX value of the Octavia: As much as the car is lovely and very well cared for, i beleive, from memory, the car had been keyed on the majority of panels and has an aeriel/hole in the roof which is something that has to be taken into consideration. This is the reason for the £1500 off book value. To retail the car, all these things would need to be rectified at a cost.

However i am more than happy to look at the value again if required, as i dont beleive it was myself that valued the car.

Secondly the car was a PRE-REG, as Preston Motors quite rightly predicted. And as he/she will surely agree, there is little or no money in such cars. This restricts our flexibility when sorting out a deal.

Thirdly the 8.9% Static in the window was correct at the time, being that it was registered. Skoda later released 7.9% APR inc Free Servicing on demos aswell as New cars.

Hopefully this answers a few things.

On a seperate note, i completely agree with "Glass Back". Its what comes out of your pocket at the end of the day is the most imprtant thing.
