Nokia Lumia 920

Featured Replies

Ok i currently have an iPhone 4 and previously had nokias before being the N95 8gb & Nokia N97 (bit of a letdown due to bad software)...

Upgrade is not due until another 3 months or so and really considering the new Nokia Lumia 920. Camera is suppose to be so good that no other phone on the current market can compete.

Anyone got one at all or know if they are any good?

Could go for iPhone 5 but just not too sure as they keep bringing new models out and am not overly keen

If I understand correctly you need an unlimited (true) data plan if you want to email the pictures to anyone since I think they're over 35MB each at the full resolution. I think this is why the carriers took so long to embrace it. Obviously if you have wifi then you're ok.

The pictures shouldn't be that big. It's only an 8.7mp camera. My SLR takes a max of 12mb a picture and that's got over a 10mp sensor.

The 920 charging system is a hoot as you no longer have to keep pluging and unplugging cables.

As for the OS, windows 8 seems ideally suited to the touch screen.

My only concern, that applies to all phones, is battery life.

All smart phones are rubbish, so if you're ok with an iPhone, you'll probably be fine with it too.

To be honest an unlimited data plan ain't an issue as i'm currently on one at the mo and wouldn't settle for any less as am constanty on the internet plus use my phone for tethering which is really handy at times.

Not sure why but i really want the phone. Nokia cameras have always been really good which i'm guessing is my main attraction. I also like the fact that it's something completely different as every seems to have iPhones nowdays.

I'm currently on the 3 network and have been with them a while no and have no plans on changing as they seem to be good and have not had any issues whatsoever. Hopefully 3 will have the phone on their network otherwise this phone is not an option.

Yeah battery life is always an issue however you kind of adjust to this plus i like the wireless charger.

Will probs go in store and have a demo before i go ahead just to make sure it's the right phone plus i want to see the actual size in person as don't fancy carrying something bulky around

Doh, sorry yeah. Was thinking of the pureview.
