Look n Stop firewall

Featured Replies

I am thinking about re-trying LnS for my firewall again, over the current Sygate personal edition.

Does anyone have any expierience of it..ie tried/used it?

Please, dont tell me how wonderful your ZA, Kerio, Outpost or whatever is..I have been there and one that.

I just fancy going over to something seriously light on resources due to photo editing etc, and as I no-longer on-line game setting LnS up for that is no longer an issue.

So..can anyone offer any info?

Cheers

Buy a hardware one :p

No resources used at all :D

Because a software firewall allows you greater control of outgoing/system based issues.

Hmmm. I use Bit defender 8 pro and also have a hardware firewall (netgear 834g). Both are as simple to use as one another. If you already have a hardware firewall then windows xp(if u use it) own firewall is adequate for most.

ZA creates more problems than it solves in my experiance. Tried Norton (very system resource intensive) and mcafee.

Black Ice has nothing but gr8 reports but I never tried it.

Get the Microsoft anti-spyware thing. It kinda integrates with the firewall and asks allsorts of questions about access. The windows firewall is actually pretty good from SP2 onwards in XP.
