Remap Figures

Featured Replies

I've been looking at all the Mappers local to me and seem to be getting a big variance in power figures they quote for the PD130 ?

They range from 160 to over 190bhp !!

My question is this, Its a standard 04/53 car with 101k on the clock so whats the best compromise on power ?

Obviously i get drawn to the bigger figures but this car is my commuting car so just want a good all round map that leaves me with no reliability issues.

Average seems to be approx 175bhp so is the best figure to go for ?

170 is a good all round figure. You would be able to get over 180 with a standard turbo.

Is there a certain power/torque figure where you start to push the limits of the Turbo/Clutch/Gearbox ?

About 180 is pushing the limits on the turbo. Depends on how good your clutch is, a general figure is about 300lb/ft. But a good mapper can turn the torque down If the clutch is showing signs of wear.

torque is the important figure really. Thats the one that gets you excited on the road.

Im about at peak for standard clutch, dmf and turbo at 175bhp and 295lbs/ft! Pulls like a train!

I've got a standard dmf, paddle clutch plate and standard cover plate, and have 377lb/ft, I'm on borrowed time, especially when it has 435lb/ft with nitrous.

Wow pushiong your luck lol!

We did have one power run when setting up the nitrous of 485lb/ft, but decided to back it down lol

Haha brilliant!

175bhp, 290 torque on all standard bits

174bhp and 312lb just with 160 intake and jabbas cone in a box thing for me

Indeed it is, I have 360 on the other car ;)

202bhp and 360lb.ft was my personal best out of a KKK turbo.

Much like jp, add nitrous on a hybrid and wham 480lb.ft.... however I guess my helix smf and paddle clutch has a better chance of handling it :D
