I'm no expert on DVs but surely this BOV is unsuitable for the 1.8T since it vents to atmosphere unlike the standard one?

I believe KarlRS has one of these fiited. Dave (DaveU) has one in his passenger side footwell (;) ).

It does work and the idea is that you can "tune" the amount of venting sound. I know though that it's larger than the standard DV and you either have to cut the engine cover and play around with the pipe work. I think it part vents in the airbox and part atmosphere....someone will know for sure.

I think Dave's going to fit his soon although the induction kit he has make more than enough noise.

I suppose it depends on what you want; if you want noise then get either this or a Forge. If you want something more repliable than standard then get a Bailey. I found it to improve response and it costs only
