16" Moon Alloys - Cheapest price

Featured Replies

Anyone picked up a set of Moon Alloys at a good price, or can anyone recommend a "nice" set of lightweight 16" Alloys for my Yeti?

Also throw in the "best" summer tyre recommends - I live in a rural area but Autoroute miles are 60% of my overall mileage - I prefer comfort and low noise to out and out "boy racer" performance............... another tyre thread that hopefully will cause some debate.

I have never liked the 17' Spitz's shod with the OEM Goodyear EXCELLENCE 225/50 R17 94W rubber bands - now done about 25,000 miles and I'm ready to get rid of them

Have a look at the Anzio Waves from http://www.tyremen.co.uk These look similar to Moons - photos on another Topic "Winter Tyres - do I need them" about page 5 I think.

I have the Anzio Waves and I'm very pleased with the looks finish and the service from Tyre men.

To be honest after driving on 16s I'm tempted for the summers

I bought a set of Skoda steel wheels and Rif trims for £206 + Nokian winters at £358 and £30 for fitting = £594 before I saw the Anzio Waves for £300 + Uniroyals for £695 all in. In retrospect I think I would have spent the extra £100 for the Waves but must say I am pleased with the Nokian's and the Rif trims make the steelies visually bearable!

Incidentally I am one of those who spec'd 16" Moons as original equipment to enjoy the better ride comfort.

Just bought three 17 dolomites from Allams in Epsom. Paid £137 each with 10% discount as they are forum sponsor.

Was quoted £249 by other dealers I tried.

The Skoda Alloy wheels are not light weight. They weigh about the same as the Steels wheels which surprised me. If you want lightweight, may I suggest some magnesium ones
