Hi guys, so Xenons are great but im looking for more light, either replace my 5 year old hid bulbs as i hear they start to diminish in output after a couple of years or upgrade to a higher power kit you find on these car bulb websites.

Thing is it seems they are on,y really made to upgrade standard halogen bulbs ie H7 and H1 bulbs. Im looking at replacing my entire ballast and bulb. If its worth it.

Before anyone starts, my car is fitted with Xenons from factory so i have the washers and auto level systems.

They don't really do upgraded bulbs just the different light outputs 5 k 6k etc, I've found 6k's to give a good light output while not being too blue

There's a new Philips bulb out that supposedly gives 50% more light output. The idea (or marketing) is similar to the fancy halogen bulbs you can buy.

I haven't tried them, and they're twice as expensive as normal Phlipis D1S bulbs, so it'll be a while before I get to see them for myself.

There are burners which are claimed to have "more" output. However if you are changing the whole caboodle, then there are 50w as opposed to 35w systems.

Would more powerful ballasts mess with the light out warning.
