i will be moving to france in a few months I wish to know how easy it is to change the headlights from uk to french I assume it is just a matter of unscrewing the unit and putting a new one in?

You should be able to access a small metal lever inside the headlamp units (remove the rubber caps to access this) which will change the beam pattern to continental LH drive, so negating the need to buy replacement units. They are a bit fiddly but persevere and you will find it - or ask the showroom as it's really a 1 minute job, and they will know how to do it - I think there are some photos on here somewhere along with a similar posting!
