BT Openzone or what ?

Featured Replies

Anybody out there regularly use the wireless hotspot things round the country ?

What provider would you suggest ? I've seen BT Openzone and Vodafone - anybody got any experiences or suggestions ?

And finally just for clarification, as long as the laptop is WiFi enabled e.g. Centrino or has appropriate PCMCIA 802.B card thingy, is it just a matter of signing up with your chosen provider go to an appropriate hotstop, sign in and you can read/send e-mails, surf the web, get access to work etc ?

Thanks.

Its never anywhere I go really so I've never signed up, so don't know what its like but http://www.btopenzone.com/ has got all the info :)

Most MaccyDs have it, as do a lot of motorway services and Starbucks :D

I've used Openzone. My only problem with them is that all these things are expensive and I don't reckon they are very good value - but, if you need it that doesn't matter.

I've used a laptop and a PDa to connect - both worked fine.
