OK, How did this happen...

Featured Replies

Wifey is rather taken by my Fabia (see sig), so we wander into the local dealer looking to see what DSG (she wanted an Auto) Fabias they had in. As we walk in, she likes the look of the Citigo and about an hour later I've just signed up for a 5dr Elegance 75 ASG with extras, picking it up Friday all being well.

How the hell did that work???

Before anyone asks how the hell we got one that quick, it is/was their demonstrator, and was registered 5 days previously. Only 60 miles on the clock and not really fussed that she won't be the first registered keeper as it will be the dealer. My Fabia came with more miles on it, but it was delivered to me...

Extras are the pano roof, Silver Leaf metallic paint (her favourite colour from the range to be fair) and (dealer fit) parking sensors - I think! We were told an order for an Elegance would be about 4 months as they couldn't put the order in until December (allocation, I guess), and then 12 weeks for build.

woman see, woman like, woman want...........and...........NOW.

wish i had the same tenacity

you need to get your act together did you get a test drive ??

Don't know about the car, but how on earth did you get your missus to make up her mind that quickly?!!

I've no idea - but she's got 14 days to change her mind...

Lofty is bang on though...

Yes, she did - and she also had a go at reversing in it

And she probably will, unless.... you keep her very busy, and leave brochures open on citigo pages that look attractive. I suggest too buying a citigo specific prezzie, that she can put in it when she gets it. The sentimentality of a gift will mean she couldnt change her mind or even say if she had, for fear of hurting feelings.

Its all bluddy mind games

Right - off to ebay for a keyring.....

wrap it and use the words:

"i got you this cos its not often i see something you really like, that i can get you. Its nice to see you happy, makes me feel useful" haha, theyll love and keep any gift you give em no matter how crap it is

Good choice in the colour, my wife loves it too although it was chosen from the brochure/online colour options.

Her first choice was the metallic green but being as I was the driver and main user (she doesn't drive) it was my choice of colour over hers.

All the best with the car

My wife has just ordered a 5-door Elegance 60ps. She also liked the metallic green but I think it's a nauseous colour and persuaded her that it wasn't worth an extra £460! Added to which, she was very taken with a white one in the showroom, so white it is. Her current car is white, too - guess who washes it.

In my experience rash decisions always end baad, but this will most likely turn out to be the exception that confirms the rule. Citigo is an awesome little car

:D Set my skoda dealership the task of either a black or white citigo , they tried to persuade me with blue or green or silver, as Dave pointed out if i didn't get exactly what i wanted i wouldnt be happy with it - ended up looking for one myself and found exactly what i wanted ... even if it was a few hours drive away ;) did want another fabia , but why pay the same price for one that was a few years old when i could get a new car ?

Only a few days in (picked up Friday) and she's loving it. The lack of height adjustment on the seat belt was a bit of an annoyance on what is the top spec version (especially as the moulding looks like there could be one) but I think she's found a position by playing with the seat height a bit.

Heated Seats got a definite thumbs up!

My aunt is the same, she only looks at what it looks like, if she likes it she'll buy it (salesman's dream).
