What about a Canon 50mm f1.0? (If you can find one - they were discontinued for various reasons)

Or a Zeiss 50mm f0.7 which, I am told, is the fastest you can go due to the space needed for the mirror to flip up. NASA used a specially adapted Hassleblad (with mirror locked up) with this lens.

The fastest you can go with a SLR is f1.0 for this very reason.

Just for reference, I believe that the human eye perceives life at about f3.5!
