Folding mirrors remotely

Featured Replies

I just can't seem to get the mirrors to fold remotely with the key fob. They fold when the internal switch is swivelled to the folding position, but not otherwise. I've searched this forum's history for helpful threads and note that reseting the windows has helped others with a similar problem. I assume 'reset' means (as the manual suggests, although it doesn't use the term 'reset')...

"Proceed as follows in order to re-establish the function:

? switch on the ignition,

? slightly pull on the upper edge of the relevant button and hold it until the window

is closed,

? release the switch,

? you must pull the respective switch again in upward direction for approx. 3

seconds."...

I've tried this on all four windows but still have no joy. Any ideas?

If it's anything like mine it takes quite a few seconds (3+) for the mirrors to start to move. If I release the key fob lock button before they start moving it does nothing.

Agreed, unless you hold the key fob lock button down for several seconds after the doors actually lock (5+?) the mirrors don't fold.

I just push mine in with the line prop from the house :(

Do you happen to have the parts number for the line prop? Is it in the Skoda accessories booklet? :giggle:

GRrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Still no joy. Counted to 20 plus. Holding the button down any longer and it would be quicker to reopen the car, jump in, turn the ignition on....and manually twist the mirror button, etc. Thanks anyway guys for the advice. I can live without it, it's just very irritating to be beaten by technology, again :dull:

What setting do you leave the interior button on?

I'll be getting a group buy organised from Russia....

I had this problem! The windows and mirrors are on the same logic path in the computer program.

Try these tests;

1) In the MDI settings tick the the box for 'all windows opening' then check th mirror control knob is in neutral then lock the car.

2) Then press and hold the unlock button on the remote, if any window doesn't open it will need resetting.

3) Open all windows manually then close all doors press and hold the lock button all windows should close. if any do not close the computer can not send the next signal to fold the mirrors in.

Mine will not fold out again untill I turn the ignition on.

Hope this helps
