Hi guys, just bought Superb TDI 170 Elegance Estate (DSG), with lots of extra goodies - sunroof, park assist - will I ever use this? - uprated sound etc. etc. It was the Finance directors car at the dealers apparently, so just about every option box ticked!

I pick it uo next month - working overseas at the moment, then it is pressed straight into service on a long trip to north Scotland for Christmas (370 miles one way!) to stay with the family.

Wife has a Fabia 3 1.9 TDI (2010), we've 'upgraded' the engine map (thanks, Diesel Bob!) and not get around 170 BHP and better fuel consumption out of that, so may go that way with the Superb as well - although to be fair, it felt sprightly enough on the test drive. However the A9 north of perth is a nightmare in a low powered car (limited overtaking opportunities), so I'll se how it goes this trip then decide.
